The Great Gatsby is written by Francis Scott Fitzgerald which is published in 1925 and it is popular with the public.The fiction is regarded as one of the most outstanding contemporary American novels as well as establishes the position of Fitzgerald in literary history.Francis Scott Fitzgerald（1896-1940）is one of the most outstanding writers of the 20th century in the United States.While his wife went in ostentation and extravagance.Afterwards, her became the mentally unbalanced.All of them brought Francis Scott Fitzgerald great pain and made his family live beyond their means.unfortunately, he caught lung disease in 1936 and drank from morning till night.In 1940,he died of heart disease brust in New York.The Great Gatsby tells a story about Gatsby and his pursuit for the ‘American dreams’.During the World War One, the poor lieutenant Gatsby fell in love with an upper cla girl named Daisy.However Daisy married Tom, a man of her cla, instead of Gatsby after Gatsby’ departure.While soon after,Tom had mistre in New York.Daisy was unhappy.Gatsby strived for five years to become a millionaire and bought a villa which is in the opposite of Daisy’house.He held grand banquets every night with the purpose of attracting Daisy to recover their love.As Gatsby had hoped ,they met each other and back into love.Whereas Daisy was no longer the lovely girl she used to be.Daisy drived Gatsby’s car and killed Tom’ mistre.Gatsby bore the charges in order to protect Daisy.Eventually, Gatsby was killed because of her crime.Something reverberates in my heart after reading it.As if I have saw that, all the bright precious things fade so fast and they don’t come back.Gatsby had thrown himself into his own world with a creative paion, adding to it all the time, decking it out with every bright feather that drifted his way.No amount of fire or freshne can challenge what a man will store up in his ghostly heart.I don’t like Daisy.She vanished into her rich house,into her rich, full life, leaving Gatsby nothing.Gatsby was a poor fellow.As the fiction stated, he did not know that his dream was already behind him, somewhere back in that vast obscurity beyond the city, where the dark fields of the republic rolled on under the night.Great people are always destroyed by things which bring they succe.Gatsby was strong and persistent.He builded his own world, lived in his own world and died in his world.His tragedy was not one people’ tragedy.So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselely into the past.
