University as I see it
Dear teachers,It is my pleasure to talk about something on university in my opinion here.When I was in middle high school, I imaged that university should be an ideal place to learn and live.It can provide good environment for students to study and research their leons including specific projects.What’s more, everybody in university is full of kindne and enthusiasm to create a harmonious atmosphere for living in happine.However, after I came in the university and have observed the real life in university for one month, my view of university has changed a lot.A real ideal university must be more than a place to study leons or live with schoolmates.On one hand, in spite of the fact that the most important thing for students in university is learning, a lot more capabilities are there for students to foster.Firstly, as universally acknowledged, elementary education in middle school focus on just taking in information without thinking, which is not good for the all-round development of students.To improve it, students can learn to cultivate their ability to think critically and completely by sharing views and knowledge with clamates or teachers in university.The larger number of books and claics in university library can help students to learning with thinking by reading widely.For example, there is more free time for students in university to learn by themselves so that they can spare more time to discu on these iues with critical way of thinking.As to me, I appreciate it when I share books I have recently been reading with my friends, especially when others can give out a lot of opinions different from me.Secondly, a variety of campus activities can offer many chances for students to improve their communication skills and social ability, which are neceary for future working.Moreover, it is convenient and natural for students to promote some specific skills in interest, such as picture or video proceing, physical skills, music instruments and so on, which is meant to help shape students’ value and cultivate their mind.In short, university is responsible to compensate for weakne and defect in middle school edcation and stimulate students’ real enthusiasm to study.On the other hand, students are supposed to cultivate better living habits and get rid of the bad.In the beginning, leaving away from parents and living alone may be a great challenge to someone fresh.In that way, it is obvious that attending university is an opportunity for freshmen to say no to reliance or dependence.A lot of university students said that a great change has taken place on them after living on their own for some time.As for my own experience, during one month’s living away from parents, not only I have learned how to live a regular life alone but also did I have to care about people surrounding me, indicating that students can really grow up thoroughly in university.At last, I believe that university life can be one of the most important parts of everyone’s life.
