You should spend about 40 minutes on this task.Present a written argument or case to an educated reader with no specialist knowledge of the following topic.Popular events like the football world cup and other international sporting occasions are eential in easing international tensions and releasing patriotic emotions in a safe way.You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.You should write at least 250 words.Of cause it goes without saying that popular events ,such as football World Cup and Olympic Games ,are eential in easing global tensions and expreing athletes ‘patriotism in a safe approach.But I have to mention that ,sometimes ,the activities or athletes concentrate so much on competition that those events cause adverse effects.Of crucial importance , in recent decades, are those international events ,because occasionally ,it is really difficult for representatives from several ,or even more nations to get together to discu regional or global iues.As they have to compete for more political, military or financial interests, the conferences or activities are full of rhetoric, rather than real intents to overcome the financial crisis , protect the global environment and prevent the nuclear weapons ‘proliferation.However, sporting events could practically unit all the nations participate in those meetings.Especially for those countries, those domestic situations are badly worse, like Iraq, Pakistan.etc.Chances for them to expre the people’ hope for peace and freedom through political ways seem to be limited.Therefore ,taking part in international sports meetings could be an effective way to release the patriotic emotion as well as to acquire exterior respect.For example, in Olympus games, the team from countries in south Africa only consist of a couple of people.In addition , their performances in the games are just average.While they also gain applauds from others.In my eyes ,this is the true charm of those sporting events, that is , respect and understanding.However, ironically, some nations or sportsmen care about the rank and score only, which adversely causes conflicts between athletes or fans.From this point , being clear of the real purposes and trying to show respects to others can make those events more prevalent and meaningful.
