My idol
Although there are many succeful person in the world, my idol is Stephen Hawking, the greatest mind in physics since Albert Einstein, because I love astronomy so much.In my point, Stephen Hawking is extremely outstanding in three areas, from where we may learn and grow:
First, Stephen Hawking knew from early on that he would study science, based on this firm ideal, He studied mathematics hard and when he was 17 he won a scholarship from Oxford University and got his degree with honors 3 years later.Next, he achieved great succees.When he studied in the Institute of Astronomy in Cambridge, he published a very technical book “Large Scale Structure of Space-Time” and afterwards made a great discovery about“nothing could escape a black hole”.At the age of 32, he was named a fellow of the Royal Society and at the same year he received Albret Einstien Award.Five years later, in 1979, he was appointed the Top Profeor of Mathematics at Cambridge.In 1988 Stephen Hawking wrote “A Brief History of Time”, which became a best-seller.Finally, Stephen Hawking’s work hardly affected by the rare disease that affects muscle control, for which he uses a wheelchair and speaks through a speech computer, screen of the computer is mounted on the arm of the wheel chair where Stephen Hawking can see.It is very challenging, but Stephen Hawking is really enjoying this kind of life because he inspired a great number of person by public lecture.This is my idol Stephen Hawking.Yes, There is but only one way to succe “Never give up”, I will continually keep my interest in astonomy, study hard and do some research in astronomy in the future.
