Module 1 My First Day at Senior High
My name is Li Kang.I live in Shijiazhuang, a city not far from Beijing.It is the capital city of Hebei Province.Today is my first day at Senior High school,and I'm writing down my thoughts about it.My new school is very good and I can see why.The teachers are very enthusiastic and friendly and the clarooms are amazing.Every room has a computerwith a special screen,almost as big as a cinema screen.The teachers write on the computer,and their words appear on the screen behind them.The screens also show photographs text and information from websites.They're brilliant!
The English cla is really interesting.The teacher is a very enthusiastic woman called Ms Shen.We're using a new textbook and Ms Shen's method of teaching is nothing like that of the teachers at my Junior High school.She thinks that reading comprehension isimportant,but we speak a lot in la,too.And we have fun.I don't think I will be bored in Ms Shen's cla!
Today we introduced ourselves to each other.We did this in groups.Some students were embarraed at first ,but everyone was very friendly and it was really nice.Ms Shen gave us instructions and then we worked by ourselves.Ms Shen wants to help us improve our spellingand handwriting.We do this in a fun way, with spelling gamesand other activities.I like her attitude very much, and the behaviour of the other students showsthat they like her,too.There are sixty-five students in my cla-more than my previous cla in Junior High.Forty-nine of them are girls.In other words, there arethree times as many girls as boys.They say that girls are usually morehard-working than boys,but in this cla,everyone is hard-working.For our homework tonight,we have to write a description of the street where welive.I'm looking forward to doing it!

我住在离北京不远的石家庄市。

老师们非常热情、友好，教室令人惊喜。

英语课真是太有趣了。

我们用的是新教材，沈老师的教学方法和初中老师的完全不一样。
她认为阅读理解很重要，但我们在课堂上说得也很多。上课大家都觉得很快乐。
我想在沈老师的课上我是不会感到厌倦的。
今天我们以分组的形式相互做了自我介绍。
一些学生起初很不好意思，不过大家都很友善，这样做感觉真好！
沈老师给我们一些指导，然后我们就自己操练起来。
沈老师想帮助我们提高我们的拼写和书写。
我们用有趣的拼写游戏加上其他的活动来做。
我很喜欢她的态度，而且其他同学的言行举止表明他们也喜欢她。我班有65名学生--比我以前初中的班级人数多。
其中49人是女生。换句话说，女生人数是男生的3倍。
据说女生通常比男生更勤奋，但在我们班，人人都很勤奋。
至于我们今晚的作业，我们得写一篇描写我们住的街道情况的文章。我正盼着去做呢！
