Welcome Speech(By Organizer)Good morning!Mr.chairman，profeors ,scholars, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Hyderabad.Today I stand here on the behalf of the Indian Society of Remote Sensing, which is the organizer of this symposium.First, please let me give my appreciation to profeors and experts and students here.It is your coming that highlights the symposium.Thank you!Also, thanks to our service staffs.It is your patient, careful and meticulous(细致的)work that guarantees the symposium’s smoothly conducting.Today, we are here on the spot of the ISPRS Technical Commiion’s VIII Mid Term Symposium in 2014, whose aim is not only to advocating the communication and exchange among the scholars from various countries and regions all over the world, but to promoting the development of the technology of photogrammetry and Remote sensing.This symposium is composed of academic discuions, an achievement exhibition and expert seminars, by means of which, we intend to achieve our goals: to promote the advancement and diemination of RS technology and to spread RS knowledge.In order to promote the exchange of views among you, please allow me to introduce all of the guests to you.We feel honor that
Mrs.Gong attend our symposium.She is a world-known expert in the field of Remote Sensing.Also, Our scholars include the authors who have published research papers on JISRS(Journal of Indian Society of Remote Sensing), the students who have submitted the abstract and papers according the requirement of notifications we pasted on the Internet and accepted our invitations , and the distinguished authorities in the field of Weather, atmosphere and climate Studies, cryosphere, Forestry, Natural Ecosystems & Biodiversity, Land Cover and its Dynamics, including Agricultural & Urban Land Use, Coastal and Ocean Applications.As organizer, I’d like to introduce the ISRS to you.The ISRS was established in 1969, and the initial name of it is “Indian Society of Photo-interpretation”(ISP), whose main purpose was to promote the advancement and diemination of remote sensing technology and to spread the knowledge of RS and photogrammetry by conjunctive use(联合使用)of them with conventional methods in the fields of survey, planning and management of natural resources and environment by organizing seminars, symposia and by publishing journal, bulletins, proceedings, etc.From its modest beginning with 56 members, the Society has grown into a premier profeional body with a membership of over 3700, including both individual and Institutional members.The Journal of the Society，JISRS, a quarterly publication(季刊), is the only journal in the country exclusively dealing with remote sensing technology and its applications.And we are open for your participation.At last, thank you again for your participation, and we really appreciate it.May the symposium a complete succe.Hope all of you enjoy the following four days in Hyderabad.
