Discuion on Environmental Art Design Education Mode

in Higher Vocational Education

Abstract:

Because of its different focus, environmental art design teaching mode in higher vocational education aumes diversity in forms and flexibility in operation.This article is based on the characteristics of today’s higher vocational education and it reaserched in three aspects, the characteristics of environmental art design , the current situation and deveopling of environmental art design and the building of environmental art design teaching mode in higher vocational education.Key Words: Higher vocational education;Environmental art design;Teaching mode

Along with the rapid development of China’s economics, the needs of social talent are rising, and behave differently for different levels of requirement standards.Talent competition is becoming more and more intense.On the premise of national advocate of vocational education, environmental art design teaching in higher vocational education should base on theoretical studies, and focused on developing students ' cognitive and practical abilities in order to meet the needs of production, management and service.So as to make students the talents with both theoretical knowledge and practice experience.1.The development and actuality of environmental art design in higher vocational education In late 80s, environmental art design was integrated from the design department in art schools and architecture branch in comprehensive schools.Because of the different profeional background and teaching experience, there’re differences existing in the positioning of profeional construction and the setting of teaching contents.Its status is to have the characteristics of integrated-subject “environmental art design ” positioned in the “interior design” on a single direction, some of it is biased towards beautification in the indoor environment such as interior decoration.Broadly speaking, the environmental art design covers almost all areas of art and design.It is an integrated discipline.Narrowly speaking, it mainly refers to the building, Plaza, landscape gardening, and other elements of exterior environment space design and interior decoration, furniture and furnishing elements as the main internal environmental space design.From a design perspective, it has the irrational component of art.From a technical perspective, it is also restricted by the various technical specifications.Environmental art design is a subject featured with multi interlaced elements, such as technics and functions, art and aesthetics.This combination of its characteristics and the requirements of higher vocational education bring a systematic reorientating thinking of environmental art in higher vocational education.Fundamentally reform the profeion structure, from teaching plan, curriculum to practice, making consolidation and construction, cultivating high-quality complex talent.2.Characteristics of environmental art design in higher vocational education.Artists and architects from Bauhaus, Germany, consider that environmental art was created combining architecture, sculpture and painting, an art form determined by the “appreciation arts” and “practical Arts”.It comprehensively uses various means of art and technology so that people can live in an environment not only satisfy the material but the psychological needs, and it takes a certain art atmosphere and artistic conception.Characteristics of Environmental art design in higher vocational education.2.1 Foreseeability.Aimed at the present society, training the talent that meets national needs is the primary objective and premise of profeional construction, is the power of profeional development.Environmental art in our country keeps a level of interior design and decoration, and so on.But with the development of the society, the content of environmental art design will significantly increase, and it will cover a broader range.2.2 Systematicne.Environmental art design is a very comprehensive systemic behavior.It sets the function, art and technology at an organic whole, involved two large areas of many disciplines in art and science technology.It has the characteristics of the interdisciplinary, osmosis, and fusion.Training talents with comprehensive quality, overall thinking ability of environmental art design, is the key point of profeional planning design.2.3 Characteristics.The features talked about refer to the characteristics of a school.For speciality construction of environmental art design, schools with different nature, and foundation have their own respective development direction and goal.2.4 Creativity.Creation is the soul of the design.Environmental art design is kind of a thinking to plan the environment of human life.Design education can not only satisfy the design method and skill in knowledge.It should make cultivation of students' creative thinking, the liberation of the creativity as the education ideology.2.5 Adaptability.In environmental art design, designers’ work ranges from small logo design to big environmental landscape design.Facing the social competition for talent, strong adaptability is eential to designers.This kind of adaptability comes from both solid foundamental knowledge and wide-ranging profeional knowledge.In the proce of making teaching contents and training plan, higher vocational colleges should fully realize this adaptability, making effective teaching plancombined with its profeional characteristic.3.Profeional education teaching mode construction of higher vocational environmental art design

3.1 Theory teaching Relying on advantage resources inside and outside school.For most vocational colleges, besides the teaching resources of environmental art design itself, there’s so little resources avalible in similar profeionals, such as in the architectural design and the urban planning and design.So its spacial development is inevitably restricted.And the collaboration of sharing resourses between colleges with related profeional departments, such as building departments in comprehensive colleges, is an effective way to solute the problem.At the same time, schools can invite relevant profeional experts, profeors and scholars to give theory teaching, host seminars, so as to enrich the students' knowledge, improve the students' profeional theory attainment, strengthen the students' theoretical basis.3.2 Profeional skill teaching relying on the profeional design studio.The chief task of higher vocational education is to cultivate talents poe good design thought and great practical skills.To achieve this goal, we must update art design education concept, strengthen participation in social practice, improve the practical ability as the leading factor, and develop the thinking in image design and practical skills for the purpose of teaching system.“The studio system” is at present a pushing to the exploration of teaching mode, that is, a profeional teacher’s responsibility system.According to its own specialty, teachers try to make teaching as the center task, complete the teaching practice miion, train students' profeional skills required, and complete the teaching practice research and busine entity the teaching and scientific research of the unified teaching mode.It streed in the profeional practice teaching, such as engineering budget, decorative construction, project design course teaching proce;exercise the student ability of self-study, the actual operation ability, and management ability.“The studio system” can play the student main body function and promoting teachers' practical ability and creative teaching thoughts and teaching organizational ability.This is propitious to form high efficiency, competition teaching situation.3.3 Practice teaching relying on enterprises.As an important part of teaching system in higher vocational colleges, practice teaching is a good way to cultivate the students' profeional skills and practical skills.It’s an eential link in education proce.By strengthening the construction of practice base outside, schools can build an practical education system relying on the coorpration with enterprises.This attmpt is important means to realize the talents training target.In practical teaching, enterprises can bear part of practice course teaching tasks, and participate in formulation of programmes of training objectives and teaching practice, such as furniture design, display design, model making, graduation practice and graduation design course.Teachers have experiences in enterprises, and they can cooperate with enterprises to develope scientific research projects.This provides a good platform for teachers’ career development.At the same time, students’ experience in enterprises improves their practical ability, adapts the profeional talent demand from society, and provides convenience for studemts’ future job-hunting.Above all, the education teaching mode of environmental art design is an inescapable key subject higher vocational colleges faced.As a result of the specialities of environmental art design each college differently emphases, teaching mode will present diversity in form and flexibility in operation.Along with the further development of higher vocational education, it is believed that environmental art design in higher vocational education will explore more mature and effective ways and means.References
