There was once a guy who suffered from cancer, a cancer that can’tbe cured.He was 18 years old and he could die anytime.All his life, he was stuck in his house being taken cared by his mother.He never went outside but he was sick of staying home and wanted to go out for once.So he asked his mother and she gave him permiion.He walked down his block and found a lot of stores.He paed a CD store and looked through the front door for a second as he walked.He stopped and went back to look into the store.He saw a beautiful girl about his age and he knew it was love at first sight.He opened the door and
walked in, not looking at anything else but her.He walked closer and closer until he was finally at the front desk where she sat.She looked up and asked, “Can I help you?”
She smiled and he thought it was the most beautiful smile he has ever seen before and wanted to ki her right there.He said, “Uh...Yeah...Umm...I would like to buy a CD.”
He picked one out and gave her money for it.“Would you like me to wrap it for you?” she asked, smiling her cute smile again.He nodded and she went to the back.She came back with the wrapped CD and gave it to him.He took it and walked out of the store.He went home and from then on, he went to that store every day and bought a CD, and she wrapped it for him.He took the CD home and put it in his closet.He was still too shy to ask her out and he really wanted to but he couldn’t.His mother found out about this and told him to just ask her.So the next day, he took all his courage and went to the store as usual.He bought a CD like he did every day and once again she went to the back of the store and came back with it wrapped.He took it and when she wasn’t looking, he left his phone number on the desk and ran out...RRRRRING！!
One day the phone rang, and the mother picked it up and said,“Hello?”
It was the girl！!The mother started to cry and said, “You don’t know? He paed away yesterday...”
The line was quiet except for the cries of the boy’s mother.Later in the day, the mother went into the boy’s room because she wanted to remember him.She thought she would start by looking at his clothes.So she opened the closet.She was face to face with piles and piles and piles of unopened CDs.She was surprised to find all these CDs and she picked one up and sat down on the bed and she started to open one.Inside, there was a CD and as she took it out of the wrapper, out fell a piece of paper.The mother picked it up and started to read it.It said: Hi...I think U R really cute.Do u wanna go out with me? Love, Jocelyn.The mother was deeply moved and opened another CD...Again there was a piece of paper.It said: Hi...I think U R really cute.Do u wanna go out with me? Love, Jocelyn.Love is...when you’ve had a huge fight but then decide to put aside your egos, hold hands and say, “I Love You.”
爱在心里口要开

Mark was walking home from school one day when he noticed that the boy ahead of him had tripped and dropped all of the books he was carrying, along with two sweaters, a baseball bat, a glove and a small tape recorder.Mark knelt down and helped the boy pick up the scattered articles.Since they were going the same way, he helped to carry part of the burden.As they walked Mark discovered that the boy's name was Bill, that he loved video games, baseball and history, that he was having alot of trouble with his other subjects and that he had just broken up with his girl friend.They arrived at Bill's home first and Mark was invited in for a Coke and to watch some television.The afternoon paed pleasantly with a few laughs and some shared small talk, then Mark went home.They continued to see each other around school, had lunch together once or twice, then both graduated from junior high school.They ended up in the same high school where they had brief contacts over the years.Finally the long awaited senior year came, and three weeks before graduation, Bill asked Mark if they could talk.Bill reminded him of the day years ago when they had first met.“Do you ever wonder why I was carrying so many things home that day?” asked Bill.“You see, I cleaned out my locker because I didn't want to leave a me for anyone else.I had stored away some of my mother's sleeping pills and I was going home to commit suicide.But after we spent some time together talking and laughing, I realizedthat if I had killed myself, I would have mied that time and so many others that might follow.So you see, Mark, when you picked up my books that day, you did a lot more.You save my life.”

The Color of Friendship
Once upon a time the colors of the world started to quarrel.All claimed that they were the best, the most important, the most useful and the favorite.Green said:
“Clearly I am the most important.I am the sign of life and of hope.I was chosen for gra, trees and leaves.Without me, all animals would die.Look over the countryside and you will see that I am in the majority.”
Blue interrupted:
“You only think about the earth, but consider the sky and the sea.It is the water that is the basis of life and drawn up by the clouds from the deep sea.The sky gives space and peace and serenity.Without my peace, you would all be nothing.”
Yellow chuckled:
“You are all so serious.I bring laughter, gaiety, and warmth into the world.The sun is yellow, the moon is yellow, the stars are yellow.Every time you look at a sunflower, the whole world starts to smile.Without me there would be no fun.”
Orange started next to blow her trumpet:
“I am the color of health and strength.I may be scarce, but I am precious for I serve the needs of human life.I carry the most important vitamins.Think of carrots, pumpkins, oranges, mangoes, and papayas.I don’t hang around all the time, but when I fill the sky at sunrise or sunset, my beauty is so striking that no one gives another thought to any of you.”
Red could stand it no longer he shouted out:
“I am the ruler of all of you.I am blood — life’s blood!I am the color of danger and of bravery.I am willing to fight for a cause.I bring fire into the blood.Without me, the earth would be as empty as the moon.I am the color of paion and of love, the red rose, the poinsettia and the poppy.”Purple rose up to his full height, he was very tall and spoke with great pomp:
“I am the color of royalty and power.Kings, chiefs, and bishops have always chosen me for I am the sign of authority and wisdom.People do not question me!They listen and obey.”
Finally Indigo spoke, much more quietly than all the others, but with just as much determination:
“Think of me.I am the color of silence.You hardly notice me, but without me you all become superficial.I represent thought and reflection, twilight and deep water.You need me for balance and contrast, for prayer and inner peace.”
And so the colors went on boasting, each convinced of his or her own superiority.Their quarreling became louder and louder.Suddenly there was a startling flash of bright lightning thunder rolled and boomed.Rain started to pour down relentlely.The colors crouched down in fear, drawing close to one another for comfort.In the midst of the clamor, rain began to speak:
“You foolish colors, fighting amongst yourselves, each trying to dominate the rest.Don’t you know that you were each made for a special purpose, unique and different? Join hands with one another and come to me.”
Doing as they were told, the colors united and joined hands.The rain continued:
“From now on, when it rains, each of you will stretch acro the sky in a great bow of color as a reminder that you can all live in peace.The Rainbow is a sign of hope for tomorrow.” And so, whenever a good rain washes the world, and a Rainbow appears in the sky, let us remember to appreciate one another.友谊的色彩
