S:They are tomatoes.T:Yes ,they’re so big.Read after me , “tomato, tomatoes , they are so big.”(read in different tones.)After that, then teach the students the new words potato, green beans, carrots in the same way.Step 3 Practice Play some games to practice the new words.Game 1 radish squat Eight students stand up and each one with a picture of the new word.Each student represents a kind of vegetable ,then listen to the paword: tomato squat, tomato squat, potato squat after tomato finished squatting.Game 2 Bomb Name a word as bomb, when it shows , every one can not read it out but should say “bomb”.If any one read it out ,all student say “bomb” to him together.Step 4 Consolidation Present some pictures of the new words with power point.Practice conversations with sentences “Look at the(tomatoes, potatoes„)„ They are so„(big, long„)two as a group.”
