正值一年之春，

原诗每行两音步(dimeter)。第一、二、五、六行中，第一音步为轻重格(iambic)，第二音步为轻轻重格(anapestic);第三、第七行中，第一音步为重轻轻格(dactylic)，第二音步为重轻格(trochaic);第四、第八行格律有所松动。值得注意的是末行第一音步(all’s right)为重重格(spondaic)，于语义有所强化。全诗的韵脚安排为abcd abcd. 译诗每行三顿，但未能押尾韵。网上有译者将起首两行径自译为“一年之季在于春，一日之际在于晨”，虽整饬易诵，实与原诗句法、语气不符。(倒数第二行由“上帝在他的天堂里”改译为“上帝在自己的天堂里”，因为此行中的annunciatory “his”应得到强调。07.5.16)
