——The feeling after watching the Pursuit of Happines
I had heard this movie for long before I watched it,but I never imagined it would impre and encourage me so much until I watch it.The Pursuit of Happines is a great movie filmed in 2006 according to a true story that a poor man named Chris Gardner who is out of work and supports his home only by selling bone-density scanners which is not so popular as he thought.One day his wife left him because they could not afort their rent and taxes and life had became so hard.Then he and his son were expelled by his host.They were homele,sleeping in the subway,in the toilet and begging a bed in the church.Even so,despite how desperate Chris was,he never stopped loving,protecting and cheering up his son.During that hard time,Chris met a man smiling out of a super car and people around him was as happy as him.He asked the man what he does and the man told him he was a stockbroker.Since then he determined to be a stockbroker and pursuit his happine.He try to seek the opportunity to meet the leaders of the stockbroker company and show his talent and determination to him.Finally he got the opportunity to be one of 20 interships of that company for a 6-month training without salary.Life becames harder for him as not only did he have to contact with hundreds of clients everyday, study for his test,but also he had to pick up his son from nursery, hurry to the line in front of the church for a bed,take a good care of him,and run to sell the scanner for their living.Although had experienced failure and insult so many times,Chris never gave up.In the end,he beated the other 19 men and got the job as a stockbroker,and so the happine came to him as he had expected.It is a story with a satisfatory ending but a long and hard development.Life is hard,and happine will not come to you in vain.Just like the sentence that the movie cites from The Declaration of Independence says,’everyone has the right to life,liberty and the pursuit of happine.Why Thomas Jefferson put a’pursuit’ part in there?The hero thought maybe happine is the thing that we can pursuit but will never get.The truth is,from the whole movie we can learn,that happine is the thing someone can get only by pursuit,harder and harder,never giving up.That’s what the movie mainly tells us,and what moves me most.Besides the encouraging theme,another part that touch my heart is the father’s love.After searching some background I learn that the hero Chris and his son Christopher in the movie are also father and son in real life.I think that’s a main reason why they play it so naturally and moving.The movie start with a shot that Chris went to pick up Christopher,and every time when Chris stayed with his son,the air became warm and happy.Chris taught his son to be strong and determined when they were playing basketball,and his son tells Chris some jokes when they were coming home.I almost cried when I watch two moments when they stayed with each other.One is when they were sleeping in the toilet of the subway.The father told his son they had got into a cave through a time machine to comfort him,and held him tightly as he fell asleep.When some one hit the door of the toilet trying to get in,he tightly cover his son’s ears in case of waking him up.In orther not to be expelled out,he propped the door with his foot,quiet,shivering,with his tear running down his cheek.That really makes me see how great a father’s love can be.The other part is when they are in the church at night.Chris had to fix his scanner under the light in the stair,but his son in the bed wouldn’t like to let him leave.Chris told his son he would not go far and he can hear him when he calls.The son finally said,’I trust you.You are a really good papa’.I think it’s his son’s love and trust that give his strength and support him to go through every hardship to eventually get succe.Poor and desperate at first,then trying to work hard to get the opportunity,and finally becoming rich and happy.Generally speaking,the Pursuit of Happine is an ordinary type of inspirational film.But I don’t think it boring at all with so many funny episodes,such as magic cube in the taxi,hippies who stoles the scanner,a beggar who believe the scanner is a time machine and so on.And the soft pleasant background music makes me love the movie more.All of those imply people to be optimistic as the hero when they are going through hardships.Even though there is no delicious food,no comfortable bed,the life still goes on,and you have to believe everything will grow better through your effort.Just as the song in the movie,’Lord,do not move that mountain.Give me strenghth to climb it.’That’s a respectful will to pursuit happine.Once we go though the mountain,we will find a beautiful garden,only which is our really life,a happy life.‘If you want something,go get it.Period.’Chris told his son.I want to say,if you want happine,don’t let someone else tell you that you can’t.Go get it!
