My Difficulties in Learning English There have been many difficulties in learning English during the past …… years, but I managed to overcome them and made much progre.The spelling and meaning of words can be said to be the first difficulty I met as a beginner.But I found our my own way to deal with them.As to spelling, I never copied a new word again and again to remember it, but tried to find its relevance to the sound.In fact, as long as I can read the word out, I can write it out.As to the meaning, I rarely recite its Chinese translation but often put the word into the sentence to learn its meaning.Moreover, if you use a word quite often, its spelling and meaning will be of no problem.After all, we are learning English in order to use it.Grammar and idioms may be another difficulty.But I have also got over it.I have not read lots of grammar books.But I spent much time reading the articles written by native speakers or specialists in English.By doing so, I came to gain “a sense of English language”.I began to gain a feel for which sentences are “good English” and which are not.Finally, I want to say that overcoming all these difficulties requires perseverance.How I Overcame My Difficulties in Learning English?
Most Chinese students have difficulties in learning English.The difficulties vary so much from person to person that it is difficult to cite here in a few words.Some may have problems in reading.Others may have trouble in writing.I also had problems in English learning, but my difficulty seemed to lie in listening.For example, when tested for listening comprehension, I couldn't understand a single sentence, let alone a paage of medium level.In order to overcome the difficulty in my English learning, I made great efforts to find the key to the problem.I consulted my teacher and found out that I merely didn't have enough time to practice listening.So I bought a tape recorder and listened to it at least two hours a day.In addition, I listened to “Special English” on VOA.I also went out of my way to speak to foreigners on the campus whenever we meet so that I could have the chance to listen to the native speakers.After half a year's hard work, I could get 70% of the questions correct in listening comprehension tests.I own my succe to my English teacher.It is him who tells me the correct way to learn English.It is him who always encourages me when I encounter difficulties and feel disappointed.When it comes to difficulties of English study, Different people have diverse opinion, such as hard of hearing, le word, confusion of grammar, even poor writing skills etc.As for me, beside what have mentioned above, I have no enough time and energy to learning, which due to a fulltime work.How to solute these problem？I think strong will is key to succe.Thus, some measures must be taken as following are.To begin with, I make good use of all available time.I usually study my English until 11 o’clock at night.Then, I make a record on new words with MP3 so that I can review new words on the way both from home to unit and from unit to home.Furthermore, the most important way is, I always make good notes in the cla, and review carefully again and again after the cla.Finally, I make some simulated composition through the way that translate English composition into Chinese then translate it into English and imitate it time and again.It just as proverb goes “slow and steady wins the race”.Eventually, I have a great progre in my learning English.Certainly, the progre is limited.So I still eager to attain some available advise from teacher and clamates.克服英语学习中的困难
