A critical pedagogy training programme will be held next term in Shanghai Only international pedagogy training center.I was invited to attend the training next term.I would be grateful if you could permit my leaving next term.Now it is the first term that I have been here.I really enjoy working in this school, while learning a lot from our colleagues.But as a new teacher here, I still have some puzzles and find it hard to deal with some problems.Do you remember that I have mentioned them during the department meeting last week? It seems that some of the puzzles are rather common among our colleagues, especially methods on improving students’ writing ability and language learning strategies.We know that the students in our school are weak in writing compared to students in other Schools.The programme is especially famous for its writing teaching.What’s more, it will cover some of the latest scientific studies on teaching methods and claroom management.We know that teaching standard is eential to our school development.In my opinion, we still have a long way to go in terms of teaching standard.Another point I’d like to mention is that the programme will cost 2,000rmb.So I am also writing to inquire whether the school would pay all or some of the course fees if I get the permiion.Since I have got much information of the pedagogy training programme, I think it is worthwhile to spend the time and money.In the long run, it would benefit our school greatly.I sincerely hope I could have an opportunity to attend the training.I apologize for the inconvenience my absence may cause.Would you be kind enough to inform me at your earliest convenience?
