Automobile, the most pervasive and persuasive of modern technologies, marked by rapid change and growth ,is moving into a new era ,an era of extraordinary sophistication and versatility, which promises to reshape our lives and our world.Discuion on the duality has become very popular in newspapers or in people's chats.On the one hand, no one denies that automobile is currently one of the most useful transportation in our daily life.On the other hand, the automobile is more of a trouble as its abundance results in frequent traffic jams.The harm and lo they cost are incalculable.Heavy traffic will make much time waste for nothing and accidents happen form time to time.In addition, more and more private cars will make environmental pollution more serious, which will do harm to human beings.In my opinion, it is high time for the whole people to reduce the frequency of traffic jams.The first step should be to fundamentally change lifestyles so that the car is no longer part and parcel of everyday life.Governments also need to apply attractive measures to draw citizens to adopt means of public transportation, for instance, to reduce prices and improve relevant facilities.译文：
