2012中美校长论坛，昨天在武汉市人民政府参事室举行。十所武汉中小学校长和7所美国中学校长与会，共同探讨“适合每个学生发展的教育”。

The 2012 Sino-US Principal Forum was held yesterday.More than 10 headmasters from Wuhan middle and primary schools and 7 headmasters from American middle schools joined the Forum to discu iues on creating a cro-cultural education environment for child development.【画外音】
会上武汉实验外国语学校校长李茵发表主题演讲“让每个孩子成为世界上独一无二的人。”她说，我们用昨天的知识，教育今天的孩子，培养明天的人才，在当今飞速发展的时代，这样的矛盾日益凸显。传统、封闭、刻板的课堂教学已不能满足信息时代学生对知识的海量需求。教育工作者应当从选择适合孩子的育，转变为打造适合每个孩子的教育发展。
美方校长代表约翰逊博士说，他曾经研究过中国就业市场，发现尽管中国每年的大学毕业生人数居世界首位，但还是出现用人单位“人才”奇缺的局面。他提出，教育应该注重教学质量和学生素养的培养，这个质量不是单纯的排名和成绩，而是培养学生人际交往能力，领导能力和团队合作能力，这些能力不能从书本中获得，需要学生参与实践。
随后，与会中美教育专家分组围绕 “教育的国际化及创新型人才的培养” 这一主题进行了交流探讨。美国中学校长还热诚邀请武汉教育界精英前往美国实地交流考察，近距离感受美国教育。
中美校长论坛从去年起一年两届分别在武汉和美国举行。
市人民政府参事室书记黄莉、市教育局相关领导出席了会议。

Mrs.Li Yin, the principal of the Wuhan Experimental Foreign Languages School, gave a speech at the meeting themed on Letting Each Child be a Unique One.She said that the most important task for today’s educators is to create teaching methods which respect each child’s characteristics and development, that let’s them be different.Mr.Ken Johnson, representative of the American schools, said that he studied the Chinese employment market and found that although China as the largest number of university graduates every year, these talents still seriously lack employment.He pointed out that talents are not those students with famous university diplomas or ones who can only get high scores in tests, and that rather the evaluation of education quality should be valued synthetically.
