My father is a HVAC（Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning）engineer and my mother is an electrical engineer.Since I grew up in such a family, I want to follow their steps to be an engineer.Because of the high population and insufficient number of universities, I was not able to enter a Chinese university of my choice.However I am in a program which provides an opportunity for me to go abroad for further education.I think studying in an English speaking country can make me better able to work anywhere in the world without having a language barrier, since English is a world language.When I was a kid I did not know much about Canada except that it is next to America and that life there may not be as busy as in America.However, I met a person from Canada and he told me lots of exciting things that a teenager can do in Canada like going camping in the forest, watch the bears steal your stuff, and be a boy scout, which are nearly impoible for Chinese children to experience.His stories attracted me to the things of Canada.The college I study in has only the University of Concordia as a choice for me to continue my courses in the field of engineering I wish to study.However, after I learned more about it this university seems attractive.In the College of International Studies at Hunan University, I have developed a special interest in building engineering which in my point of view is a very useful major because it is a study of optimizing the usage of a building.So your work can be judged objectively without any prejudice.During the first two years of college, I have studied Architectural Drawing, Statics, Dynamics, Kinetics and Mechanics of Materials.These courses have laid a solid foundation for my studies abroad.I have also worked as a Field Work Supervisor during the vacation, giving me some experience in the architectural field.My outside activities include playing a bamboo flute.I think I am talented in using music to expre emotion.I have been the champion of a badminton competition at my college and became the captain of a college badminton team.In the future, I want to get my Master’s degree in Canada if poible.Also, I want to get an international engineering certificate in Canada because it will be easier for me to get an engineering certificate in China at a later time.My conversations with several of your alumni have served to deepen my interest in attending the University of Concordia.Thank you very much and I am looking forward to entering your university.________________________________
