Dear Editor,We would like to submit the enclosed manuscript entitled “ Titania deposited on soft magnetic activated carbon as a magnetically separable photocatalyst with enhanced activity ”, which we wish to be considered for publication in Nature Neuroscience.Magnetically separable composite photocatalysts, TiO2 deposited on soft magnetic ferrite activated carbon(TFAC), were prepared by sol-gel and dip-coating technique.In the present work, we introduced Mn-Zn ferrite(a kind of soft magnetic ferrite materials)into the activated carbon due to its high saturation magnetization, high initial permeability and low coercivity.Firstly, we prepared soft magnetic ferrite activated carbon(FAC)containing well dispersed Mn-Zn ferrite.Then the titania was deposited onto the FAC by the sol-gel and dip-coating method.Based on the features of titania-coated magnetic activated carbon, we were engaged in fabricating composite photocatalyst with high photoactivity, good separability and excellent recycle activity.Thus, this study has revealed, The composite photocatalysts showed soft magnetic properties and could be easily separated from the bulk solution by a magnetic field.It could also be redispersed into aqueous solution by ultrasonic vibrating after removing the external magnetic field.Owing to its high performance and recycling ability, the composite TFAC is a very promising photocatalyst for the degradation of organic pollutants.The following is a list of poible reviewers for your consideration:
